Classic Dad: Mr. Sickler

Last week, I asked readers to submit pics to the Classic Dad Gallery. The response has been fantastical. Here is one of the first.
My father, John Howard Sickler was 25 when he became a nOOb dad. Clearly this photo is circa 1990′s – marked by his huge glasses, and my brother’s outrageously ridiculous shirt. Although he is found perpetually behind the camera (in order to catch every moment from my first walk to walking across the stage at high school graduation), he is seen here on Father’s day.
Well, 25 years have passed since he was a nOOb dad and he has mastered scraped knee fixing, tool shed building, and awkward 5th grade graduation dancing. But, he knows that he will ALWAYS be a nOOb – a nOOb father-in-law when my brother gets married, and a nOOb grandfather when we start having our own kids.
