‘Build The Perfect Bug Out Bag’ Review & Giveaway
15 Oct
Most of the crap we read is related to sports, babes, or guns. Am I painting with a broad brush? I suppose I am; care to convince me you read ‘Casual Vacancy’ or ‘Reflected In You’ over the weekend? Didn’t think so. Moving forward – have you ever considered reading a book that might actually make a difference in your life – or save it?
Take ‘Build the Perfect Bug Out Bag: Your 72-Hour Disaster Survival Kit’ for instance. Written by survival expert and Willow Haven Outdoors founder, Creek Stewart shows you not only how, but what to pack in your BOB (bug out bag) in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. Whether you’re an experienced woodsman who’s spent plenty of time in the bush or more of a car side camper, Stewart’s book will walk you through the who, what, why, and where’s of preparing for the unthinkable. As a bonus, he’s even included a checklist in the back so you don’t have to take notes the whole time you’re reading.
Inside the pages of ‘Build The Perfect Bug Out Bag’ you’ll find understandable descriptions of the tools and supplies one would need for surviving for three days. Although the photos are black and white, you won’t find it difficult to see the product or understand the basic idea of what is being shown. I found it especially helpful to see how some of the survival gear was supposed to be used in different situations. Who knew there were so many uses for common household items?
It’s relevant, it’s practical, it’s well explained – ‘Build The Perfect Bug Out Bag’ is worth your time. Still need convincing? Check out a few sample pages on Amazon and watch Creek give you his pitch in the video below.
If you’re interested, or know someone who is, we’re giving away a copy of the book signed by Creek Stewart himself. All you have to do is “Like” this post and tell us why you want this book so bad in the comments section. Contest ends Wednesday night 11:59 ET.

Thanks for the review! I’ve been thinking about building a BoB for a while and maybe having the book sitting on my side table will finally be the motivation I need to make it happen.
Now I’m not a dad yet, but I’m planning on marrying the girl of my dreams in the Autumn of 2013. I’m involved in a program called the International ALERT Academy (http://www.alertacademy.com/iaa/) which trains in Disaster Relief and Emergency Services. I’ve graduated through the program as of December, 2011, but I will be going back early this January for additional training. It is very likely that I will be deployed anywhere in the US or even potentially Internationally for disaster relief efforts. We were there when Birmingham and Jopland got hit by the tornadoes, we were there after Katrina hit, we were out west fighting the wildfires in Summer of 2011, we were in Haiti when they got slammed with the tsunami, and the Bahamas when the hurricane went through this past summer as well. As a disaster relief worker, we need to be on our toes and ready to “bug out” in a moments’ notice when disaster strikes. I would like to win this copy because of the service I do for the people of the United States of America, as well as people abroad. However, if I do not win this contest, I will be purchasing a copy anyway.

Spc. Nicholas Miller
